an interfaith pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
In July 2007, Duke Chapel formed the Faith Council, comprising
representatives of the major global faith backgrounds, including
Buddhist, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Catholic, evangelical and
mainline Protestant Christian traditions. Members of this council
meet regularly to study sacred readings, discuss current topics,
and plan events.
Past events have included successful
interfaith dialogue panels.
The Faith Council
also leads students
on pilgrimages to places of religious interest both domestic
and abroad. In spring 2008, 19 students and staff visited
Jerusalem and other holy sites.

Coordinator Emily Wilson-Hauger.
