Duke University is a place where faith is valued and thrives
in a variety of forms. Active faith traditions on campus include:
- Baha'i
- Buddhist
- Christian
- Hindu
- Jewish
- Muslim
- Native Expressions
Duke religious life
groups provide opportunities for students
to worship, study, serve, and form friendships within
their own
traditions and
across lines of faith difference.
The Faith
Council, convened by Duke
Chapel, is a group of campus clergy representing
Buddhist, Evangelical Protestant, Hindu, Mainline
Protestant, Muslim, and Roman Catholic
traditions who gather on a regular basis
to deepen friendships, read sacred texts, and seek the wisdom
to
be
offered
within each tradition while honestly wrestling
with
faith differences.
The
Faith Council and the Interfaith Dialogue
Project,
a student interfaith group, offer a series of
interfaith programming,
conferences, and faith pilgrimages for
the campus community and beyond.
