or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish of the sea inform you." --Job 12:7-8
People and animals gather on the lawn before the service.
The large dog and the small dog shall lie down together...
Ministers and participants lead the service from in front of the
Chapel.
Community members follow the service with their pets from the
lawn.
During the service, people are invited to come forward and introduce
their companion animals.
Scott Hill conducts The Durham Children's Choir.
The service closes with ministers individually
blessing the animals…
...even iguanas and parrots!
