The University Service of Worship is held each Sunday morning at 11:00. Duke Chapel has the largest congregation of any university church in the country. Services are ecumenical in nature and feature sermons by the Dean of the Chapel, as well as renowned visiting preachers such as Thomas Long, James Forbes, and Tony Campolo. Musical leadership for the services is provided by the Duke Chapel Choir.

The Service of the Lord’s Supper

The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper (Holy Eucharist) is celebrated every Sunday in the Memorial Chapel immediately following the University Service of Worship, except on those Sundays when the sacrament is celebrated during the Service.

The Congregation at Duke Chapel

This ecumenical congregation serves the pastoral needs of those for whom Duke Chapel is the primary place of worship. The Congregation provides its own financial support and has its own pastor and staff. Activities include Bible studies, Sunday-morning classes, mission trips, retreats, spiritual formation groups, fellowship activities, and a variety of service projects. Membership is open to all, including students. For more information, visit the Congregation at Duke Chapel Web site.
